
The brain of Andross is, in all honesty, more potent than himself. Here, the planes look like planes instead of a pile of triangles and that by itself is a step up. I sometimes would find myself turning off the 3D to give my eyes a rest since it felt that the 3D effect on this game is a bit more intense than some of the other 3D games. Targeting the enemies is slick though sometimes I did feel “stuck” trying to negotiate the 3D nature of the game. A gyroscope based control is also available, but I felt sticking to the original controls was the better option.

While there were a few times I felt that I was fighting the controls on the open world sequences, I generally felt that it was very intuitive and fun…something that I do like in a flight simulator (and rarely get). In order to damage the brain, you must destroy the eyes. When you defeat Andross first form, you will have to defeat his brain form in all-range mode. The controls on Star Fox 64 3D are a lot more reflexive. When you take that path, you should obtain 2 Laser Upgrades, a Smart Bomb, and three gold rings, everything you need to destroy Andross. In the Comic “ This… This cannot be… You… You, You have… Destroyed… me…” -Robot Andross Once the Robot had taken enough hits, its circuits overloaded and started to explode while screaming, thus destroying the palace and nearly taking Fox down with it if not for the Arwing's fast manuverability. The Robot had no real defences and was very weak, especially to a Smart Bomb. Andross's hide started to tear away and revealed the Robot Andross beneath. Once he flew through a long narrow tunnel, Andross emerged from the shadows and the battle commenced. After flying through the plains and canyons of Venom and destroying the Mysterious Giant Golem Golemech, Fox decided to go it alone into the tunnels of Venom to reach Andross's palace.
